Our process, from idea to industrialization
DESIGN THINKING
Use-based design means thinking with and for the user so that the action they have to perform is as natural as possible. Analysis by user category of a typical day and the user’s interactions is key.
Use-based design aims to improve user experience while simplifying the process.
Use-based design feeds product and interface design.
Our fab lab speeds up the process by allowing rapid prototyping.
The aim of our use-based design service:
The result is an innovative and intuitive concept for the user that enhances the product experience while ensuring that the market demand is met.
Methods:
Our method is collaborative and based on design thinking, which encourages the team to produce a solution from the situation.
Benchmarking what already exists
Immersion with users
Co-creativity
User testing and predictable abnormal use analysis
GO/NO GO prefeasibility study
Results:
The product is defined in its entirety, from aesthetics and ergonomics to manufacturing process and costs. It is ready to be developed by the design office, starting from an outer skin and a technical draft.
Intellectual property:
Intellectual property is assigned to our customers as part of our contract.
Certification:

RESEARCH... to patent
Find out how to invent a patentable proof of concept that fits your project.
To achieve an intuitive product, it is sometimes necessary to break down a technical barrier and invent a new solution. This translates into a “proof of concept”, which can lead to a patent. The invention is matured within the framework of your project’s constraints (size, complexity, maturation time for industrial output). As a result, it is more quickly transferable to the industrial product.
Our fab lab reduces research time with an integrated assay and testing space.
We have extensive experience in the following fields:
Air and fluid filtration
Noise reduction
Aim of our research service:
Break down technical barriers and invent a patentable solution adapted to your project
Methods:
State of the art
Creativity
Measurements and experiments
Feasibility study for the project—GO/NO GO for development
Results:
Digital and physical technical proof of concept
Intellectual property:
Intellectual property is assigned to our customers as part of our contract.
Certifications:
Innovation Tax Credit for our clients’ benefit.
PRODUCT DESIGN
Learn how to define the design of your product based on your core brand to make it ergonomic, attractive, and achievable at your target cost.
Designing a product to cost aligns the product with the company’s strategy and makes it desirable and economically viable for mass production.
It simultaneously uses two strategies to enhance the value of the product: it increases the perceived value for the customer, and at the same time, optimizes the production costs for the manufacturer.
Our fab lab accelerates the product design phase.
The aim of our Design-to-Cost service
To imagine an attractive, ergonomic, original, and industrializable product design at the target cost for limited series and mass production.
The custom design phase is necessary to increase the chances of user adhesion through intuitive use.
Methods:
Design-to-Cost product design is a transversal approach that involves all the different departments in your company—management, marketing, R&D, purchasing, production.
Marketing and technical analysis
Ergonomics study
User tests
Style study
Technical feasibility study
Digital or physical model
Results:
The product is defined in its entirety, from aesthetics and ergonomics to manufacturing process and costs. It is ready to be developed by the design office, starting from an outer skin and a technical draft.
Intellectual property:

UX/UI DESIGN
Learn how to design an intuitive and rewarding screen interface to maximize the user experience of your products.
Interface design allows your customers to interact with your product in an intuitive, engaging, and secure way.
The aim of our interface design service
Enhance user experience through intuitive and rewarding interaction with your product. Our designers design the graphical layer of the interface.
Methods:
User needs analysis
Benchmarking
Creativity
Model for user testing
Graphic design
Results:
An interface designed to be intuitive, and a graphical representation ready for coding.
Intellectual property:
Intellectual property is assigned to our customers as part of our contract.
Certification:
Innovation Tax Credit for our clients’ benefit.
MECHANICAL INGENEERING
Find out how to concretize a functional prototype including product design so you can approve of choices before industrialization.
The engineers and developers in our design office translate the design into a functional prototype that resembles what the final product will be. The technical, normative, and industrial know-how that allows them to do so is the result of 23 years of experience. With Blanc Tailleur, you’ll find a partner with a mastery of plastics, mechanics, and prototyping.
The aim of detailed development of prototypes:
To confirm and approve the design choices that will then be pre-industrialized.
. The client’s marketing department and our designers verify that the design meets user and market expectations.
. The technical and production teams approve the design in order to industrialize it.
. Procurement approves the costs.
Methods:
Eco-technical engineering
Plastics expertise
3D CAD design
Electronics integration
Assembly and prototype tests
User tests
INDUSTRIALIZATION
Learn how to optimize design to streamline costs, increase reliability, and begin mass production.
The industrialization of the product is conducted in co-design with the manufacturers of the mass-produced parts to optimize costs. We accompany you through the approval of the first mass produced parts and the beginning of mass production.
From there, you can manage the production of your product.
You benefit from our network of manufacturers, which guarantees quality and design/development time.
The aim of industrialization:
To support our client in the mass production process.
Once the first parts are given the go-ahead for manufacturing, we launch the production tools and optimize their realization for a small- or large-scale production.
Methods:
Rationalization
Co-design with manufacturer
Optimization of parts costs
Accompaniment through to the start of mass production
Results:
The first mass-produced parts are approved in keeping with the design and the initially defined costs. We accompany our client throughout the stages of production launch. Mass production can begin.
